If
you have never been, I recommend going at least once – OOW is exciting,
educational and overwhelming. Oracle has the best customer
appreciation party –Billy Joel is headlining this year’s event.
RECONNECT
Conference was held
in July outside of Chicago, IL – this is a PeopleSoft only conference hosted by
Quest (see pics below). I wasn’t able to attend, the feedback I got from
customers, Quest and co-workers on the themes of the conference were:

Majority
of customers are on 9.2 and Tools 8.54/8.55
- Selective adoption is more than just keeping your technology current. It also involves developing a strategy for adding functionality to improve your business processes.
- PeopleSoft Cloud Architecture components make it easier than ever to deploy updates and manage systems -- regardless of whether you are running PeopleSoft HCM in the cloud or on premise.

Customers
really enjoyed being able to learning a new feature so they could implement for
their end users.

HR Focus Group Updates: Thank you to all the customers who volunteered
to participate in the focus group – very much appreciated!!!

Guided Self Service (GSS) Focus Group - New &
Improved Manager Self Service. This project is enhancing existing
GSS with new features and functionality for the manager and HR
Admin. Development is complete for on a small Form Factor (phone &
tablet) – released in Image 18 Development is working on “Request an Employee
Demotion” (new transaction).

Global Focus Group – Development is complete, now in QA for testing
for Name Display by Country (new
configuration table).
·
Employee Snapshot Focus Group – The first release is targeted for
PI19 with a subset of features around Summary and Promotion Readiness
business tasks. We will continue to add more content and business tasks in
subsequent PUM images.

Onboarding/Offboarding Focus Group – Finalizing conceptual design
document based on focus group requirements/feedback.
Next focus group meeting scheduled for week of August 22nd.
