Customer Corner - I want to highlight the great accomplishments our HR Focus
Group Customers have done this monthJ. If your organization has done something
great (upgraded, deployed fluid/new functionality) please let me know so you can get your
well deserved recognition.
HR Focus Group Updates: Thank you to all the customers who volunteered
to participate in the focus group
- Guided Self Service (GSS) Focus Group - New & Improved Manager Self Service – In Image 21 (posted 1/2017) we delivered ability two new transactions “Request Leave of Absence and Request Unpaid Leave”. Focus Group also provided feedback on the new clone “position” transaction and recommended having a separate “create new position” feature.
- Global HR Focus Group – No update this month
- Onboarding/Offboarding Focus Group – Continuing development on onboarding as well as activity guide composer the underling framework that will be utilized by onboarding. We will be meeting in February to discuss off boarding and look at the high level requirements. Still looking for feedback on template assignments from the group, if you have any thoughts or want to give feedback please email Jeremy.Pelley@oracle.com by end of week. If you haven’t got onboard with this focus group now is a great time to join.
- Employee Snapshot Focus Group – Employee Snapshot is continuing the build out of functionality. We will be looking at designs for use of Employee Snapshot with non-ePerformance customers (customers who use a third party or cloud based performance management system, but still want to use employee snapshot). If you are interested in giving input in this area please contact Jeremy (Jeremy.pelley@oracle.com)
- Profile Management Focus Group –Focus Group met and looked at the priorities for the coming year. Next steps are to engage development in looking at design options. The group will not meet in February, but will have our next meeting in March to discuss feedback from development.
- Position Management Focus Group – Focus Group met and development has started on the prioritized requests that were discussed in the meeting. We will be meeting once again, once preliminary designs come back from development. ***NEW*** We are also looking for organizations who use commitment accounting & position management. We are interested in enhancements you developed/enhancements you would like to see delivered. If you are interested contact Jeremy (Jeremy.pelley@oracle.com)
- ePerformance– Development has been working on enhancements to ePerformance and we will be sharing some designs and new features during our February call. If you are interested contact Jeremy (Jeremy.pelley@oracle.com)
- PII (Personally Identifiable Info) Focus Group ***NEW*** PII refers to ‘sensitive data’ like National ID/SSN, DOB, Address…Currently, HCM does not deliver functionality to hide/mask these fields and we are considering developing an enhancement based on customer interest and requirements. If you would to participate please email me (Julie.alonso@oracle.com). First call will be scheduled in February
- Federal U.S. Focus Group (Federal customers only) - ***NEW*** Focus Group will review and provide feedback on new USF features (ex. PAR transactions & more). If you are interested contact Venky (venkatesh.kotikalapudi@oracle.com).
***Important Note*** Focus Groups are open to all
customers, calls are typically once a month for an hour or as needed.
Your organization needs to have a current CPCA (customer participation
confidentiality agreement) since Oracle discloses future design and
prototypes. Email me if you are interested in any of the above focus
groups.

United States – A special posting for the PeopleSoft

United States - The revised Form I-9 is effective January 21,
2017, special posting to deliver the new form
·
United States – OFFCP’s Form 503 (self-identification for
disability) was updated with a new effective date 1/31/2020, update
instructions posted to Oracle Knowledge Center.

Spain - Oracle has delivered last Tax Update for 2016 (#8) containing the
changes to comply with the technical requirements for the reporting of Model
190 for 2016 for those fiscal territories

Spain - Tax Agency has already published the new algorithm for the
calculation of tax percentage (IRPF) for 2017
·
Australia - The Australian Government Department of Human Services has set a
minimum amount that must remain in a person’s wage after tax and child support
have been deducted
·
Australia -The parliament of Commonwealth of Australia introduced Working Holiday
Makers Reforms Bill 2016 during the month of December.
·
Malaysia - IRB of Malaysia has released the ITRF program for year of remuneration
2016.
·
New Zealand - The Inland Revenue Department of New Zealand
has released Statutory changes effective 1st of April 2017
·
France - The French Government as part of their routine annual legislative
updates has announced changes to Illness Rates, Fillon Reduction and a few
others
·
India - As per the Gazette notification released during the last week of
December 2016 the increase in monthly ESI wage limit (from Rs 15,000 to Rs
21,000) with effect from 1st October 2016 will now come to effect from Jan 1,
2017
·
Hong Kong - The Chief Executive in Council has adopted the recommendation of the
Minimum Wage Commission of Hong Kong to raise the Statutory Minimum Wage rate
(SMW) to $34.5 per hour
